RING SOUND

Threesound Expo 2025 explores the role of sound in political movements, particularly in times of disappointment and crisis. The expo invites artists, musicians, and scholars and researchers to engage with the political disappointment that have shaped our societies and to reflect on how sound can serve as a tool for resistance and transformation. Political systems, whether in the West or the East, often face crises of injustice, economics, and war, leading to social rifts, fractured movements, and profound feelings of hopelessness. The Ring Sound program seeks to harness the power of sound as a force for political change, pushing back against authoritarian ideologies and inspiring new forms of solidarity and civic engagement.

Ringsound (LIBERTY) program is the belief that sound—through listening sessions, workshops, lectures, performances, and radio collaborations—can transcend traditional boundaries and act as a vehicle for political resistance. Drawing on themes of feminist anti-fascism, community activism, and musical experimentation, the program brings together a diverse group of artists , activists , researchers to explore sound's role in social movements and revolutions. In the face of political disappointment, where many struggles for justice leave behind scars and divisions, LIBERTY offers an opportunity to reimagine how music and sound can reforge collective action and reignite hope.

The program is structured with listening sessions, workshops, lecture performances and panel discussions and radio programs, each designed to explore different dimensions of sound's power to challenge the status quo.
